How to customize your own jeans embellished with rhinestones
Today let us take a closer look on rhinestones. Rhinestones are made of glass to resemble jewels.

Besides, it should also be mentioned, that denim decorated with rhinestones never comes out of fashion.
Especially when we are speaking about denim fashion for young people and children as well as glamorous
jeans models that can be worn at parties and for dining out.
Rhinestones are very easy to use, that is why you don’t need to be an artist or fashion designer to build
your own jeans embellished with rhinestones. Just buy some rhinestones in your local sewing goods shop,
chose a pattern you like most and spend some time sticking rhinestones to denim surface.

An even easier way is to buy special ready-made termo-prints with rhinestones, you can even arrange a whole
composition using them. Termo-glue on the back side of rhinestones sticks well to all types of fabric including denim.
Before you start to work make sure that your made to measure jeans were not washed with special softening
solutions. Before sticking termo- rhinestones to the fabric you should also choose the right temperature for
denim by practical consideration. To embellish your jeans with rhinestones in the right way you should follow
the operations listed below in order of appearance.
First of all, take off the paper located on the back of the rhinestones. By the way, speaking of ready-made
patterns – you can always change the motif using tweezers. Spread your jeans on the ironing board, choose
the place you want to embellish and put the rhinestones pattern on it with the glued side to denim. Turn the
fabric so that the motif comes down. Put a thin cloth over the motif. In case you pattern consists of rhinestones
of different heights, put a soft cloth under it so that the highest elements of the motif come into the cloth.
Switch your iron into “cotton-wool” regime and switch off “humidification”. Then press the iron on the pattern
and don’t move it. Approximate time of action makes up 20-30 seconds. It is also advisable to repeat the procedure
on the front of denim in order to enable the glue to come deep into the fabric structure. If all the elements
of the pattern are of the same height then you can carry out the procedure just on the front of denim.
After you’ve finished ironing your rhinestones, let them cool a bit. Then you can take off the film from the
pattern. In case some elements still stick to the film, take them with tweezers and put in the right place on
your jeans. After you’ve done it, iron your jeans once again.
It is recommended to take the rests of the glue from the ready rhinestone pattern using a cloth moistened with
white sprit. That’s it! Your embellished custom jeans with rhinestones are ready! You can wash them in a washing
machine, dry-clean them, however, be careful when ironing – it is recommended to do it from the outside.
