Take ribbons of different width and colors. First of all, carefully mend al the holes and turn places you’ve got there. This can be done manually; however using a zigzag seam of your sewing machine will make it much easier for you. Then sew a thin piece of a ribbon down to your jeans. In case your old jeans are just no good for decorating, make exclusive accessories out of them! For example, stretch denim of your tailor-made jeans will be perfect for creating a denim flower. First of all, cut the trouser leg of your jeans along the seam and spread it on the table. Mark several saw-tooth lines at the intervals of about 7 centimeters. However, you can choose the intervals you like, but remember that the size of the ready-made flower will depend on them. Cut denim in 6-9 stripes. On one side of all the fragments make several cuts of 1 to 1,5 centimeters. Stretch and fray the cut edges. Circinate one of the stripes and fix it using a needle and a thread. Make small wrinkles out of other stripes and sew them down to the tube. Wrap and sew down each one of the following stripes in the same way making small wrinkles. The last two fragments are to be fixed a bit higher the general line of the seam – about 1 centimeter. Cut a circle out of denim and cover the stitchings with it. The circle can be glued down with a special fabric glue, hot-melt adhesive or carefully sewn down using invisible stitches. Buckle on a small pin. That’s it, your original denim flower decoration is ready! Such accessory will be a perfect match to each blouse or jacket as well as a bag or a belt.
