However, this brings a problem of choice with it. Of course you won’t be able to try all jeans models you see, so let us limit our choice by reading the information on the labels and tags of denim creations.

Take a closer look at the label. Generally it is printed according to special printing techniques – silk screen printing, which creates a 3D effect of the paint, or stamping, when letters and other graphical objects are pressed into the texture of fabric or leather and the paint is spread over them, as well as glimmer and similar substances. Customized denim brands who care about their product protection use even more sophisticated methods of label manufacture. For example, they put watermarks on their quality labels.

Besides, a wide range of jeans models makes manufacturers to vary the range of tags they put on their production. That is why not only new denim models appear every day on the market, but also new accompanying tags on them, which help the customers to choose the right cut and model without even unpacking jeans.

Here are most typical terms that can be found on the jeans tags. “Dirty used” jeans have a worn vintage effect and are treated with artificial dirt. The texture of “Steaky denim” jeans resembles marble. “Riverwash” is a technique by Lee which indicates the special treatment of denim fabric used by jeans manufacture. “Dirty denim” means worn denim with artificial dirt effect. “Bleached on the Rocks” means stone-washing, when jeans are washed together with pumice stones to create a worn vintage effect of denim fabric. Besides, as a result of this procedure, denim becomes softer and lighter. Of course such jeans are not so long-lasting as untreated models.
However, high-quality stone-washed jeans can preserve their looks even after twenty washes. Custom tailored jeans marked as “Shrink-to-fit” shrink greately after the first wash. If you are dealing with high-quality denim, your jeans will take their initial form after you put them on and wear for some time. tags of custom jeans

Another group of terms that can be found on jeans tags indicate function characteristics. “Loose fit”, “Button fly” and “Big pockets” inscriptions mean the extent of figure-fitting. “Straight leg”, “Tapered leg” and “Bootcut” or “Boot flare” indicate the form of trouser legs and their length. “Carpenter” jeans have a relaxed cut; however, they are not baggy. This cut of jeans does not hamper and even has special belt loops for hammers, axes, etc. “Relaxed”, “Regular Fit”, “Slim”, “Superslim” terms indicate the degree of jeans’ “tightness”. “Cargo” jeans have additional pockets along trouser legs.

The types of jeans’ fit are usually specified on the jeans tag as well. “Regular fit” is figure-forming, “Comfort Fit” is quite relaxed on thighs and “Loose Fit” hat a relaxed form throughout the length of jeans.
