Customized design jeans come into politics
Today customized jeans are increasingly frequently worn in business elite and
political circles. Jeans have lately become a legitimate part of political lexicon.
Those who put them on show that they have serious intentions, however, without being
intrusive, and are in step with the times.
The Wall Street Journal wrote about the style of Russia’s President Dmitri Medvedev after
his dinner with Obamas last July, pointing out he managed to look both informal and powerful.
He was wearing a high quality blazer with a starched shirt, expensive shoes with leather sole
and dark-colored straight-cut jeans.

Young people were of course the first ones to be conquered by customized denim, however today
more and more elderly people prefer to wear denim clothes as well. Larry Seiden, aged 56,
collector of exclusive watches, bought a pair of black jeans Agave in one of luxury boutiques
before his meeting with President of American subsidiary of Swiss company IWC. Built customized
jeans were created especially for Mr. Seiden, who was impressed by the result and was going to
buy another pair of jeans in blue color.
New jeans lovers can be found even among spick and span fashion lovers. Jils Mendel, general
director and designer of J.Mendel fashion brand which specializes on evening dresses and furs
says jeans do not belong to his preferences in clothes, but still wears them.
Made to measure jeans can indicate self-confidence and up-to-datedness of the person wearing
them if they have been chosen right. Traditional jeans are associated first of all with a worker,
thus the leader wearing them indicates his readiness to join them in their work. However, jeans
are still the symbol of rebellion and in business circles can also be interpreted as a sign of
creativity.
Of course jeans should be combined with a right chosen shirt and high-quality shoes to achieve this
effect. However, in certain spheres it is still not common to wear jeans – for example, in banks,
insurance agencies, lawyers’ and financial companies.
Besides, you still run the risk of choosing tailor-made jeans which do not suit the situation For
example, Barack Obama whose wife and daughters have already been called icons of style was actively
mocked for his “father’s jeans” – too baggy and high-waisted, which he was wearing during the baseball match. So be careful!
