Marks in history
The history of jeans counts more than 150 years and during this time jeans left certain
marks in history of mankind. One of them is the cover of Rolling Stones album ticky Fingers
(1971) made by Andy Warhol and representing a close-up on jeans zipper. However, the person wearing
jeans on the photo is not Mick Jagger as many fans thought, but Joe Dalessandro. Another album cover
featuring jeans is back to the USA by Bruce Springsteen. These jeans really belonged to him.
Jeans also become subject of songs themselves. Here are several of them: blue Jeans Blues by ZZTop, forever in Blue Jeans
by Neil Diamond, Venus in Blue Jeans by Jimmy Clanton, Jean GenieԠby David Bowie, Venom in Denim's by Junior Brown, Blue Jeans
by Marc Broussard, Jeans On by David Dundas, In those Jeans by GinuwineŠAs you can see, jeans were and remain a true source of
inspiration!
By the way, the guys from Kriss Kross duet were the first ones to wear their customized jeans back to
front. However, some experts say Spandau Ballet already did that as far back as in the beginning of 1980s

Jeans and music certainly belong together. But what about religion? A statue of Jesus in jeans
portraying Christ as a man of the present was unveiled in East Sussex, UK on 13th of May 2009.
A great progress, especially when we think back to the scandal of 1970s concerning ӊesus Jeansҍ
brand and their slogan "Thou shalt not have any other jeans but me" The reaction of the Vatican
was as furious as can be. The brand itself was by the way prohibited not only in UK, but also Germany,
China, Switzerland, Hungary and Ireland as "morally offensive". But this surely doesn't prevent us
from loving jeans and designing our own jeans ourselves!
