Color & shape of custom jeans
We have already mentioned stonewashing as one of the techniques to design your
own jeans and create a worn-in look. In fact, there are plenty of such techniques,
for instance, sandblasting, sanpapering by hand, applying enzymes to get a 'cat's whisker'
effect. You certainly noticed a grey or yellow vintage cast of some jeans models.
Manufacturers
even use laser treatment to alter the color of the cloth, or fall back on spraying and staining
and put jeans in giant washing machines to achieve a dirty or stained effect. But let's leave all
this to grungers. If you are not one of them and don't plan to dye your jeans but want to achieve quite
the opposite, here are a couple of tips for you: turn your jeans inside out while washing and put your
new dark colored jeans into salted water before washing them for the first time - it all helps to preserve
the color, well-tried.
There is one thing the jeans have regardless of color and style - they are extremely comfortable.
And flatter your figure when they sit tightly. Today many companies even add synthetic fibers and
elastane to their denim. Levi Strauss & Co., for example, has a special jeans line called Levi's
Engineering Jeans. Cotton and tencel fiber make jeans extremely soft and lasting. Besides, these
jeans take the form of human body, making a 3D silhouette and giving their owner additional freedom
of movement. A nice alternative to our parent's method - put on your jeans, get wet and dry them on
you! Anyway, don't forget while buying your jeans that they should be tight, one size smaller,
if needed. Or put your parameters in a special computer and get your customized jeans by post!
