Everybody knows that starting from the 1980 jeans have eventually become casual.
The invention of jeans for women in the 1950 has also contributed to it. Today jeans remain an
integral part of our lifestyle and an all-time favorite thanks to their usability and comfort. Jeans
are the most democratic piece of clothing, uniting the people regardless of their age, income or
social status. But did you know your customized jeans could not only be your street wear but become
a piece of dinner clothes or a classical outfit?
You can go to a most fashionable restaurant wearing your customized jeans with diamonds and
embroidered blouse. Vintage jeans also make you look extremely fashionable. Faded light blue
or even gray colors, made to order stonewashed jeans are still in. The technology of
stonewashing was invented in 1960 by Nudie Cohen, a Hollywood Western Wear consultant,
who started to wash jeans along with pumice stones. The fabric is then abraded and jeans
become a worn-in look. Lee was the first company that began to manufacture such jeans in 1982.
By the way, since we started to talk about custom jeans and vintage, here's a tip for
you how to distinguish real vintage jeans. They all have a thin white line coming along
the fabric edge. Until the 1980s the denim was manufactured on thing 29-inch looms which
were later replaced by the 58- and 62-inch ones. Besides, different companies added the
fibers of different colors in their cloth. Levis had white and red, Lee white and green
and Wrangler white and gold.
